Travel Cards
Offering great value discounts on standard fares plus flexibility on travel frequency with a validity of 1 year. Travel Cards are available to purchase in 10, 20, 40, 100 and 250 single journeys and can, therefore, be used for single journeys, day returns, or period returns.
- All travel/season cards are for the exclusive use of the person named on the card.
- A photograph will need to assign to every travel/season card. Hovertravel can take your photo in the terminal.

After much demand and some extensive development work we’re now delighted to offer an online booking facility to all TravelCard holders. The booking facility is available on our website
- Search for your dates and times on the website
- Complete your name, E-mail address (Must match what we have on file) and postal address
- Enter your Travel / Season card number to pay for your journey on the payment screen
As a small way of thanking our loyal customers, those who hold a 6 month, 12 month Season Card or Travel Card 250 can apply for 20 or 40 vouchers that are valid for one single journey and can be transferred to friends & family, or add to the expiry date of your card*.
- Claims are available to made within 14 days before card expiry date, or 28 days after expiry date, by completing a claim form. Download Appreciation Voucher Claim Form
- *Card extension only valid for 12 month season cards.
- No claim is permitted by 12 month child season card holders for extra day & apology vouchers. All child 12 month season card holders are permitted to receive one repatriation travel ticket whenever the service is cancelled due to adverse weather, up to a maximum of 10 tickets during the season card validity. These repatriation travel tickets will only be issued by Hovertravel staff during any weather related cancellations and cannot be obtained when the service is operating. Other than these 10 travel tickets, no further travel tickets will be issued for the delay or cancellation of our services during the school year, and the guardian of the child agrees that the issuance of these vouchers is sufficient re-imbursement for any of our services that may be cancelled or delayed by more than 60 minutes during the period of the 12 month season card.
- Appreciation Voucher Scheme are non-refundable, non-transferable & cannot be replaced if lost. No further vouchers will be issued if lost or use.
Season Cards
Season Cards offer great value for money for Frequent Travellers. Available for 1, 3, 6 or 12 month duration, Season Cards offer holders a 'preferred crossing booking' facility.

Our new Hover Academic & Training cards are available for purchase by students, teachers, lecturers, apprentices, work placements and for persons travelling for company training courses
To purchase any of these cards you will need to provide a proof of entitlement & photo ID.
- A letter from an education provider with course dates.
- Confirmation of teacher/lecturer employment on headed paper
- Company confirmation on headed paper of short term training
- NYS, UCAS, NUS extra cards (for apprentices), College/Uni ID cards
- Job Centre - confirmation of work placement/experience
- Photo I.D must also be shown

Hovertravel sells Seafront - The Esplanade Car Park Season permits on behalf of Portsmouth City Council, purely as a service to our regular and frequent customers. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for any issues relating to Seafront - The Esplanade Car Park, the car park season tickets or for the purchase of incorrect tickets.

- The Car Park permits are available from Hovertravel’s terminals only, and is valid in the Seafront - The Esplanade car park ONLY
- Car park permits MUST be displayed at all times
- Car park permits are NOT extendable
- Once issued permits are non-transferable & non-refundable
- Customers may add two registrations per permit - a £10 admin fee will apply to change either of the two

Hovertravel's Company Tickets are perfect for businesses who travel on an Ad-hoc basis and are not person or date specific.
