Walk the Wight

Sunday 12th May 2024

The Walk the Wight annual charity event raises funds for the Mountbatten hospice. The full walk is 26.5 miles starting at Bembridge and finishing at Alum Bay, taking between 8-12 hours approximately. This walk is only open for one day each year to host walkers raising funds for the charity and, as well as allowing access to restricted areas, this route passes through shaded woodlands, open pastures and along cliff-top coastal paths.

Walkers set off from Bembridge between 6am and 8am, we have added an early flight to our timetable helping those travelling across the Solent to get to the start line. Fly across the Solent in under 10-minutes on the fastest ferry route across the Solent.

If you are looking for some Isle of Wight walks outside of Walk the Wight, we've put together some Isle of Wight walking routes for you to try.
