The Garlic Festival

Since 1983, the Isle of Wight Garlic Festival has been a summer favourite, held every third weekend of August near Newchurch. Celebrating Britain’s most powerful garlic, visitors can sample everything from garlic ice cream to fudge, alongside live music, celebrity chefs, children’s entertainment, falconry displays, and a lively funfair. With local food, craft stalls, and both beer and tea tents, it’s a quirky mix of country fair and pop festival that offers something for everyone.
