Locals Set To Save £520 A Year With Free HoverBlue Membership

Local residents can make significant savings on cross-Solent travel thanks to Hovertravel’s free HoverBlue discount scheme. By using a HoverBlue card instead of buying a standard day return once a week, a traveller could save over £520 a year.



The HoverBlue scheme is completely free to join and is available to residents on across all PO postcode areas, covering Portsmouth, the Isle of Wight, Gosport, Fareham, Havant, Chichester and surrounding areas. In total, more than 855,000 people are eligible to join and benefit from discounted travel.

Loretta Lale, Head of Marketing at Hovertravel, said: “This saving is based on just one individual HoverBlue member travelling once a week, but the value doesn’t stop there. Members can also pass their discount on to a ‘plus one’ or up to three children - or even a ‘plus one’ with three children - so the savings really multiply when families and friends travel together.
