Hovertravel Spreads Festive Cheer for Jolly Jumper Day

12/12/25

Hovertravel staff proudly embraced Jolly Jumper Day today, joining organisations across the Wessex region in sporting their most seasonal and cheerful knitwear in support of people living with cancer across Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight.

Teams across Hovertravel brought colour and festive energy into the Southsea and Ryde terminals, which have been decorated for Christmas to help keep spirits high for both staff and customers in the lead-up to the holidays. The day added an extra boost of goodwill as crews and customer-facing teams wore their jumpers while welcoming passengers.

To further support the cause, Hovertravel made a donation for each member of staff who took part, contributing to the vital work carried out across the region.

Loretta Lale, Head of Marketing at Hovertravel, said:

"Seeing our teams come together in their festive jumpers has been a wonderful way to share seasonal goodwill with our customers while supporting an important local charity. Jolly Jumper Day is a simple but meaningful way to brighten the day for others, and we are proud to play our part in helping people living with cancer across the Wessex region."
