Terminal Facilities

Our Southsea and Ryde terminals offer everything you need for an enjoyable journey when you travel with us. Once you have scanned your ticket you can sit and wait for your flight in our comfortable waiting area, look out of our terminal windows and watch the hovercraft arrive from across the Solent. We offer the following facilities for customers in both our terminals:


Enjoy a hot drink from our Costa Coffee Express machine, the self-service machine includes Latte, Cappuccino, Americano, Expresso and Hot Chocolate. We also offer good value cold drink options in our vending machine with canned water and popular canned drinks such as Pepsi, Tango and Sprite at just £1 per can.


Sample one of our vending machine snacks, good value options are available to suit everyone’s taste from crisps, chocolate and sweets including vegan, gluten free and low-calorie alternatives. Seasonally we also have a selection of popular ice creams for you to enjoy.


Keep a reminder of your hovercraft journey with one of our official souvenir items. From Hovertravel branded bears, pens and pencils to everyday travel items including keyrings and luggage tags.


Free Wi-Fi is available for our customers to use whilst they wait for their flight.


We aim to ensure that our hovercraft and terminals are as accessible as possible. View our accessible travel and wheelchair passengers helpful information to find out more.


Accessible unisex toilets are available exclusively for our customers once they have scanned their flight ticket and they enter the waiting area.

Changing Places

A fully accessible Changing Places toilet facility can be accessed via a key which can be requested from a Hovertravel team member.


Our complimentary dog refreshment station is available for our four-legged passengers to hydrate before their flight.


Book a GoTaxi using our terminal tablet screens to take you to your onwards Isle of Wight destination.
