Is your Hover Fast Freight service still running during COVID?

Yes, our Fast Freight service is operating as normal.

Do I drop parcels off to the Hovertravel office where you buy tickets to travel?

If you're dropping off a parcel in Southsea, we have a dedicated freight office to the left of the ticket office. 

If your parcel is departing from Ryde, please go to the ticket office desk. 

Do you weigh the parcel there?

Yes, all parcels must be weighed and both of our terminals have scales. 

Is there a weight limit?

The maximum weight per item is 40 kg subject to terms and conditions.



Does the parcel have to be in a box or can it be wrapped and in a bag?

Providing as the items are secure and not loose, they can placed into a box or wrapped into a bag. We regretfully can't carry pallets. 

Does it need to have some sort of label on it?

No, when you drop the parcel off you'll complete a senders docket which includes the sender & receivers name, we will attach this to the parcel.

Do you have to pre book or just turn up?

Our Fast Freight is a turn up and go service, we accept parcels from the first departure until the last.

Can someone just turn up in southsea to collect the parcel?

Customers collecting parcels just need to turn up and state the name on the parcel. 

Are parcels available to collect straight away?

Once the Hovercraft has landed, we advise to allow around 10 minutes for the freight to be unloaded and processed for collection.
