Glastonbury Festival is the world’s largest green field performing arts festival in the world. Founded by farmer Michael Eavis in 1970, the festival site is a 900 acre working dairy farm in the Vale of Avalon, Somerset.
The festival reaches a worldwide audience with live a broadcast from BBC television and an online audience reach of millions. From its origins in one field, the Festival now has hundreds of stages and thousands of performances day and night over a full five days.
Past and present headliners have included some of the world’s most famous artists: including Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Coldplay, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Kanye West, Stevie Wonder, Neil Young, Oasis and Blur.
