What is Walk the Wight?
Walk the Wight brings our community together to show that we care about how people experience death and dying. People of all ages and abilities take part and, with a choice of four routes and free bus travel to and from every walk, it’s easy for everyone to get involved and support Islanders and their families.
By supporting Walk the Wight with Mountbatten you are helping to ensure no-one is left to die alone, or without care on the Isle of Wight.
Take on the challenge of the Full Walk or Half Walks, or the wheelchair-accessible, pushchair friendly Flat Walk. You’ll receive the Island shaped Walk the Wight with Mountbatten medal when you cross the finish line!
You can also register yourand if your child attends an Isle of Wight Primary School they can take part in .
Support Mountbatten with your. When you register you can donate £30, pledge to raise £100, or go your own way with a free fundraising pack.
- Full Walk - 26.5 miles – Bembridge to The Needles Park (7–10 hours)
- Half Walk - 12.5 miles – Bembridge to Carisbrooke (3–5 hours)
- Flat Walk - 14 miles – Carisbrooke to The Needles Park (4–7 hours)
