- Getting Here
Shanklin Chine – for almost 200 years it has been enjoyed for its peace, tranquillity and natural beauty. Much loved by artists and poets of the times. As you wander through the woodland, pass enchanting waterfalls, following the stream as it winds its way to the sea – you feel the spirit of sanctuary. During the summer months, after dusk, subtle illuminations create a magical world.
The Exhibition in the Heritage Centre will be the final year of JMW Turner’s Island Landscapes and William Daniell’s Aquatints - also, as part of the P.L.U.T.O. display, a 70th anniversary feature of ‘Victory ‘45’.
