50 miles, 2 days. Follow the Seagulls is a challenge like no other. A long-distance trek to help the 60,000 people in the UK living with a brain tumour, feel less alone, less afraid, and more in control.
Join the brainstrust community as we raise funds and awareness, with a stunning 50 mile coastal trek, starting in Cowes.
The trek winds along coastal paths until we reach our overnight stop in Ventnor. We end the first day with a very deserved team dinner, giving us a chance to swap stories and compare blisters! Day two, it's a steep climb up to West Wight with its towering cliffs and incredible views. We'll eventually return from the wilderness and reach Freshwater, taking the old railway line to Yarmouth – our final stop for (much needed) tea and cake!
We will all set off together and meet up at points throughout the days, but the majority of the walk is self-supported – time to put your navigation skills to the test! We know that 50 miles in 2 days is no small feat. It will be a serious test of your endurance; when you earn your finishers medal you'll know you gave it all you've got.
Registration is £20 per person, all we ask is that each participant raise £500+ in sponsorship to help the brain tumour community. We'll be on hand every step of the way to support your fundraising efforts!
You can register on our website now - https://www.followtheseagulls.com/. There, you can also download 2018's itinerary to get an idea of what to expect, and set up a sponsorship page through the link on the Isle of Wight page.
If you're one of our superheroes taking part, don't forget to use our #followtheseagulls hashtag so everyone can keep track of your journey across social media.
Your 50 miles will make a massive difference.
