Ryde

The 'Gateway to the Island' awaits your visit via our hovercraft to welcome you with sandy beaches, many different activities, shops, restaurants and bars plus access to bus and rail connections to take you further into the Island.

Needles

The famous Needles and the Alum Bay sands are not to be missed. Take an open top bus journey along the cliff edge or a chair lift down to the beach then go home with a piece of Alum Bay sand and glass!

Cowes

Cowes is a premier yachting town and hosts the world famous Cowes Week yachting regatta in early August. Cross the River Medina on the Chain Ferry over to East Cowes and visit Queen Victoria's seaside residence, Osborne House. Still displayed just as it would of been in 1901, the house and the gardens are a splendid reminder of times gone past.

Brading

Hosting a Roman Villa, Toy and Doll Museum, Bull Ring and classic public houses, Brading offers 1,900 years of history for you to visit and explore just 5 miles away from Ryde Hoverport.

Newport

Newport is the central point of the Island offering all your retail, leisure, culinary, artistic and historic needs. Bus service No.9 operates every 10 minutes between here and Ryde, during the daytime, for onward connections across the Island.

Ventnor

Visit Ventnor for it's Mediterranean climate, Botanical Gardens, cliff sheltered beaches and coastal walks along to Bonchurch. Bus service No.3 operates every 30 minutes from Ryde meaning the 'Med' is only an hour away!

Freshwater

At Freshwater you can explore the town and shop or come and enjoy the bay with its beach and cliff top walks. Views to be seen for miles around!

Yarmouth

Yarmouth is a pretty port town with a 16th century castle, 19th century pier, annual Old Gaffers Festival and a Carnival plus unique shops, cafes and pubs. Something for everyone in this historic town.

Shanklin

Shanklin is one of the Island's famous holiday destinations offering lovely beaches, cottages and thatched pubs in the Old Village plus a 45ft waterfall in Shanklin Chine which is illuminated at night. A short train or bus ride away from Ryde, Shanklin is easily reached for a lovely day out or longer!

Sandown

Enjoy the Blue Flag winning golden, sandy beaches of Sandown.   A traditional seaside resort, Sandown offers accommodation, restaurants and an amusement filled pier.  Plus, you can visit the Island's Tiger Sanctuary & Zoo or explore the Island's unique finds at Dinosaur Island.
