Dinosaur Isle

In a spectacular pterosaur shaped building on Sandown's blue flag beach is Britain's first purpose build dinosaur museum. The building displays many fossilised and life sized reconstructions of the Island's dinosaurs. Although a new building, the large collection of dinosaur and other fossils from the Island has its origins in 1819.

Planet Ice

The rink offers public skating for beginners through to professionals plus skating lessons. Fun for all the family throughout the year.  Refreshments are available in their cafe and bar. 

Isle of Wight Steam Railway

Relive the romantic age of steam as you settle back in beautifully restored Victorian and Edwardian carriages and take a ride behind a vintage steam locomotive through some of the Island's unspoilt countryside. Settle back for a 10-mile ride behind a vintage steam locomotive and enjoy a unique view of some of the Island's unspoilt countryside - or hop off at one of the stations and enjoy watching the trains go by.
