National Express

Hovertravel are now agents for National Express. National Express services depart from outside our Southsea terminal* and from The Hard Interchange in Portsmouth to take you to further destinations around the country. Book online with National Express or  purchase your ticket in Hovertravel Ryde and Southsea terminal and purchase an all-inclusive ticket, to or from Ryde Hoverport, and pay one price for the whole journey. Please note, you will need to collect a boarding pass from the cashiers at the terminal when you travel with us. * Please check online for specific departures from Southsea.

Greyhound

Hovertravel has joined up with Southern Vectis and Greyhound UK to provide an all-inclusive ticket between London and anywhere on the Island. Purchase your ticket from Greyhound UK, by going to http://www.greyhounduk.com or calling (0900) 096 0000. The all-inclusive ticket includes Southern Vectis bus to & from Ryde Hoverport to anywhere on the Island, Hovertravel across the Solent and Greyhound between Southsea and London. Total travel time between Ryde Hoverport and London is typically approximately two hours.

Please note, you will need to collect a boarding pass from the cashiers at the Hovertravel terminal when you travel with us. Just show your printed Greyhound ticket to receive your boarding passes. 

HoverLine

Enjoy a day out in Portsmouth and Southsea with Hovertravel and Island Line Trains. 

This great value combination ticket includes through travel on the Island Line train service (from Shanklin to Ryde Esplanade), a day return ticket on the hovercraft to Southsea and free travel on the Hoverbus to & from The Hard Interchange (for Gunwharf Quays) and Portsmouth City Centre. 

Ticket is available from any Island Line station (except Ryde Pier Head & Ryde Esplanade).

HoverLiner

Explore the Island's East Coast on unique electric trains. The combined Hover Liner ticket includes a day return on the hovercraft from Southsea, plus unlimited use of the Island Line trains. The Line runs from Ryde to Shanklin stopping at Smallbrook Junction, Brading, Sandown and Lake.

Ticket is available from Southsea terminal on the day of travel.

Portsmouth Flyer

Enjoy a great day out in Portsmouth and Southsea and leave the car at home!

This fantastic combination ticket includes through travel on any Southern Vectis bus from anywhere on the Island to and from Ryde Bus Station, a day return ticket on the hovercraft to Southsea and free travel on the Hoverbus to The Hard Interchange (for Gunwharf Quays) and Portsmouth City Centre. 

Ticket is available from all Southern Vectis buses from anywhere on the Island.

HoverRover

The Hover Rover is a fantastic value for money. As well as a Day Return on the hovercraft, the ticket allows you to ride all day on Southern Vectis buses, including the Island Breezer Open Top Tours. The one hour tour is an ideal way to enjoy 'the beauty of the Island'. Hop on and off as you please for a great day out.

Ticket is available from Southsea terminal on the day of travel.

National Rail

Purchase your hovercraft ticket at the same time as your train ticket for one inclusive fare. All staffed National Rail stations across Great Britain can sell tickets from any railway station to and from the Isle of Wight to include the hovercraft. The combined rail and hovercraft ticket allows free travel on the connecting Hoverbus service. Please alight at Portsmouth & Southsea railway station to connect with the Hoverbus service to take you directly to Southsea Hoverport.

IMPORTANT : Please state 'Ryde Hoverport' when purchasing your tickets to ensure you are traveling via Hovertravel. If your ticket states 'Ryde Esplanade', or any other Island destination, then your ticket will not be vaild to use on Hovertravel services.

Hoverbus

Our quick and frequent Hoverbus operates a circular service between Southsea Hoverport, The Hard Interchange (for Gunwharf Quays), Portsmouth Edinburgh Road (for City Centre and Portsmouth & Southsea Railway Station) and Southsea Hoverport every 30 minutes.

It is timed to connect with hovercraft arrivals and departures at Southsea terminal and only costs £1.20 per single journey, per person. If you have an all-inclusive ticket travel on the Hoverbus is free
